PU library organizes introductory talk on books

LAHORE: (Sunday, February 15, 2026): Punjab University Library Book Club organized a literary program in connection with Kashmir Day. On this occasion, Chief Librarian Muhammad Asif Khan, Department of Kashmiryat Assistant Professors Dr Samina Kausar, Dr Nadia Mehrdin, faculty members, researchers, students and book lovers. Dr Samina delivered an insightful talk on the book “Kashir” by G.M.D. Sufi, highlighting the historical evolution, cultural richness, and intellectual heritage of Kashmir. She emphasized the importance of understanding Kashmir’s past in order to appreciate its present realities. Dr Nadia Mehrdin also shed light on the geographical realities of the region through G.M. Mir’s book titled as “Jammu Kashmir ki Jughrafiee Haqiqtain”. Muhammad Asif Khan thanked the speakers and audience said that library continues to organize such academic and literary activities to foster intellectual engagement and awareness among the university community.
